What a fabulous day we had in school making history in Eden. Today our Eco-team hosted and led our very first Eco-Book Swap! In conjunction with our work with Eco-schools and World Book Day, many children donated books and every child in our school went home with a new-to-them book. With sustainability as our focus, all books were pre-loved. You can see from the smiles on the children's faces how much they enjoyed getting this opportunity in school.
We are so proud of the children and parents of Eden Primary school as the generosity of pre-loved donations meant that there was enough books for every single child to take at least one. It was also lovely to see the kindness towards others as some took a second book for younger siblings or cousins etc.
This was our first Book Swap in Eden and it will not be the last. Already we have had positive feedback from parents hoping it will be an annual event.
A big thank you to the Eco-team for running the book swap and helping children choose the book that was best for them. Without the team it would not have been possible!
