This week P6 were given an outdoor area challenge. Using trundle wheels and metre sticks the children worked in groups to measure the length and width of a number of parts of the playground. The children were able to decide on using cm or m as the best unit of measurement. When we returned to class we discussed our accuracy in measuring and then calculated the area of the various parts of the playground, which we had measured. Have a look at our photos.
