A Busy Week in P6
16th Nov 2025
To mark Anti-bullying week we took part in a live lesson organised by BBC. We completed three challenges as we worked through the lesson and were able to think about who we could talk to if we or a friend are experiencing bullying behaviour. We made pledges on how to protect and look after others and prevent bullying behaviour in our classroom.
On Tuesday we wrote remembrance poems to remember the soldiers who are fighting and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us. We also shared memories and stories of family members, as well as writing prayers for those who are fighting today and the families who have lost their loved ones.
On Wednesday we worked on drama activities with an Anti-bullying focus. Children were encouraged to create a freeze-frame for their card and the other groups were able to guess the scenarios. Hot-seating was also used to help the children decide if the behaviour was bullying behaviour or not.
On Thursday we marked World Kindness Day as a school by taking part in a fundraiser for NI Hospice. The school council suggested we wear our sports kits and take part in some team building activity. The children were able to watch team games between staff and pupils. The children were very kind and let the staff win!
